Looks impressive! I had lurked here earlier and I'm glad to see you got it working with the new diodes. I hope you enjoy the (now functioning) laser! I know I will when I get my ducks in a row for my own. :D

been watchen this for a while now, glad to see it all worked out for ya. in the future i'd recommend a good driver from the start. many of the guys around here cook up really good linear drivers, i like the ones moh makes alot.

Yeah, but I was doing a nice budget build. I knew in theory this driver would work, and it did :)

BTW, it hardly got warm on minute long burn sessions, which is plenty of a duty cycle for me.

I used 7135 single chip for a red diode. Wish I had a scope, because that statement doesn't really mean much. I can't tell if it was spiky or not, but it did hold the current steady.
