dont you wish all lasers made such nice flat lines?

3 min test

sorry for the piss poor pics of my monitor- i am having issues with the software and saving graphs..
this laser is very stable at 1500mW.

My friend but why the first picture say 1260mW and 1500mW in the second one?

Two different pictures, from two different LPM tests.

Hak, if you want, it's much easier to post cropped screenshots.

Edit:

1. Hit print screen button. (On a laptop you may need to hit Function+Print screen, but often a two function button.)
2. Go to Start->Accessories->Paint.
3. In Paint->Edit->Paste.
4. Select the part of the screen you want to show, by dragging a box over it with your mouse.
5. Once selected, hit CROP to erase everything you don't need.
6. File, Save As, Enterfilename, and save as .jpg.

That's it, you're all set, and can just upload the resulting pictures, no need to take pictures of your screen.

OK, but the laser stability is proved on 1260mW not in 1500mW. Probably he post a wrong picture.

It's probably just as stable. Diode lasers, with enough heatsinking will mostly show that same slow gradual drop down, up to the point where heat build up significantly outpaces heat dissipation, and the drop down becomes much much faster. Watching for that faster drop off to start, is how I generally decide what the maximum run time for one of my lasers is. (Minus a few seconds of course:p)

Yes- you are right- I did not check these two pics after i posted them-
the pic of the left is of a different laser than the one on the right
-But both are 445 PL-Es & labeled as 1500mW.

Both were sent to me for re-sale by Jetlaser- the one on the right was barely spec.

The other was below spec- IMO they were not correctly binned and labeled.

In the past Gray has always trusted my testing and allow me to re-label and sell them at the corrected price- as soon as he returns from Holiday i will know more. Aside form the average& peak mW both laser had very flat readings- --

To IE-
thanks 'G' for the help-
at one time I was able to make screen shots- but somehow Microsoft felt they needed to change the steps and frankly I see no improvement as I am unable to save them depending upon which Win OS I am using-

'Not broke? then dont fix'

I will try again- The laptops I do my metering on have no modem- so to post the graphs requires me to travel to a place (like Micky Ds) to use free WiFi..

One last bit of info- The last pricing on the 1W 445 PL-Es was reduced and put on sale at $299- plus $30 to ship-we are offered an upgrade with these.

Gray is allowing me to use that price on more powerful PL-Es-- and if these were sold as 1W we would be very happy with the amount of overspec that each one has.

.... AFAIK one is already sold -- of course its the silver host with the better readings-its spec- (barely) I will see if Gray will allow me to 'sweeeten' the deal with some free batts etc.

AND before anyone starts quoting prices of DIY 2Wers-
don't even go there....

unless these are in a host like the PL-E- that's an unfair comparison --and meaningless.

These come with 6 month no-questions-asked warranty- and JL pays all shipping-both ways..

The PL-E is NOT a flashlight host-- these are not made in someones dusty garage.

I will be placing a FS thread in the ProShop on these and several HP PGLs-- from 500 to 800 mWs all PL-Es- all will come with graph. no surprizes... hak
