I think that the iron man glove is a very cool and original object (especially for an enthusiast of science fiction) but other things sounds to me a bit childish...

Hope/Guess he was kidding.

I DO think about making a more powerful, bigger version of it. Not even CLOSE to the look and design of the Iron Man thing, but still arm/wrist-mounted.

What do you guys think? Another glove/gauntlet?

email? What kind of price are you looking at? ALL I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO DO THE PAST 3 HOURS IS LOOK FOR BRASS AND TUTORIALS LOL. You have inspired me good sir. I have an idea for a switch system that I think would be an interesting alternative to the one you came up with. Altogether though, I REALLY love this idea of the movement of your hand can switch it. Really epic build.....and ah, again, how much would the brass base be going for? :D

Thanks!

You guys and your tutorials :)
It takes days to make such a thing. A tut would take 5-6 utube vids 10 min each. And to be honest: I wanna unleash a wave of creativity :)
Fabricating one of those same style wouldnt be cool. Just go for it.

If you want a base of brass just like in the video (with all brass-parts on top for mounting batteries, driver etc) I will make one for you.

PM me for details.

I think I may just do it myself....I would feel a bigger sense of ownership if I did. One question though: does a dremel/drill work well for cutting the brass? I don't have a lot of higher end tools so I want to make sure it is feasible before I go out and buy some materials.

I made it with a Proxxon FBS 240 multi-tool. German brand...very reliable. Very dremel-like...dusty like hell, but it works.

I guess I will see what my little Harbor Frieght rotary Tool can do LOL. Can you pick up brass from hardware stores or only online?

Mine was hot after it was done...the motor was smelling ;-) but its still alive and running...

Try ebay. Over here in Germany, I buy most of my material from ebay-sellers or stores. 2mm brass isnt that hard to get these days. Maybe 1.5mm will do also.
