Hi,
This is my first post - be gentle on me! I am just starting my first build after a month or so of reading this forum and checking components available from the various specialist suppliers. I am an electronics engineer and work extensively with LED's and the manufacture of LED lighting equiment. However Laser is a whole new and exciting world for me!
I have just recieved three diodes from a supplier rgb-lab in China. I have 2 x DLP extracts and 1 x M140. They have arrived packed in antistatic bags but with nothing to identify which type is which. I cannot see any physical difference between the three diodes, despite closely checking them under a magnifying glass.
Is there any way to tell which is which? Or will I be able to see any difference in the beam if I power them up (in suitable host/heatsink) at say 1A? Or have I been taken for a ride and they are all from DLP projectors?
