Okay. I have access to CNC lathe all I can ever want, as much time as I want.

I need to know the following:

Where can I get 1W 445nm Diodes for cheap?
Whats the best lens to go with now days? Last i heard it was JayRob 405 glass
Microboost/flexdrive the bset to go with still?
Whats the long-operating power now days? I run at 1.0A

I know some members here have diodes selling to LPF members only, but not sure who...I want to build my own laser, and im looking for whatever it takes to make it powerful. Is there any beam correcting yet?

Thanks guys. Will help me a lot

1. DTR http://laserpointerforums.com/f39/d...us-diodes-drivers-lenses-leds-more-61678.html
2. Depends. The 3 element lenses are best for maintaining a good beam, the 405-G-1 will give the best power output
3. There are lots of other options, such as the ben boost, the blitz buck and the mohgasm linear drivers. They are cheaper to so you don't have to spend 26$ a driver :)
4. The max now is about 1.8A. I believe the "safe current" is 1.4A-1.6A
5. Beam correcting can be done with prisms or cylindrical optics. Not easily achieved in pointers though.
