Yay! The laser worked fine, My teacher pushed it up to 0,5A and burned a hole in My backpack.... ;)
Ive ordered 5 lm317t that should arrive tomorrow, thanks for the help everyone :)

Yes great news! Look closely at the LM317t, one the diagrams I referenced on the pin Vin/Vout were opposite. I guess different manufactures.

Does that give these kind of symptoms?
In that case i feel kinda dumb....

Possibly :shhh: It's hard to predict how IC's will react when being used for something they were not made for.

Did you test the driver on a test load? This should always be done to make sure it's operating properly.


Nope.
Can i perform a test without 700 diodes which ive seen others use?

Yeah, it's a constant current driver so go ahead and put an ammeter across the output. You don't need a test load if you're just going to see if it's putting out any current.

So ill. just short the output wires, atleast thats how My teacher did it.

I switched to a new lm317t and it worked right away :)
Now its running @ 1,22A.
The burning capability stunned me :D
