Blue lasers are not going to be "cheap". Mw per mw they are cheaper than green lasers, but you're still going to pay $70+

I know how you feel, mister Gordon. I want a Lamborghini for $80, but the world is too cruel.

Unless you want to make one yourself ---$80 is the lowest price I have seen for a 445nm blue laser, complete, even at low outputs of 100mw, 200mw, and 500mw.

Search all the Chinese laser web sites and see what you can find.

Try 2 years ago when the cheapest blue lasers were $500+ for 10mW ;)

Only way to go cheap is buy part per part at a time, and assemble everything when you collected all the parts.

I built a 1.3W 445nm laser with goggles, batteries, charger, focus adapter for 95.50$ :)

22.50$ host/heatsink
---60$ module
----5$ goggles
----6$ batteries+charger
----0$ focus adapter (found it laying around, made it work)
----2$ heatshrink

It's just a matter of finding the best prices :) I suggest just saving a new bucks here and there and doing the same.

My wife got a new sewing machine for xmas. When she made new curtains, we noticed that my laser not only burned through the old ones, but also into the white paint behind the curtains :p Oops...

Dont worry man I dont think anyone was making fun of you, they are just saying its the reality of the hobby.... lasers (besides cheapy red and greens) cost more money...
