Hello, this is a problem with a build I recently finished. It's an m140 diode and a 1.8amp driver I got from dtr store, it's inside a copper pipe and I used a switch from a cheap led flashlight. The problem is that when I turn it on, at first it's solid blue output, but after a matter of seconds it starts blinking, faster and faster over time. This is obviously a big problem. Any ideas as to why, and solutions?

It sounds like a weak connection that's causing the flickering.

what battery are you using? I'm guessing one of the ****fire variants?

Copper Pipe? Sounds like a very hefty host. No joke here you must have very good heat dissipation!

Yep sounds like a loose connection. Maybe try bypassing the switch to eliminate that as the problem?

Copper pipe? It sounds like it's from an AC unit. It could be overheating. Check all the electrical connections.

It's not from an ac unit it's from lowes, it is a combo of a 3/4in pipe, 3/4in PEX adapter, repair coupling and end cap

As suggested, check all connections. Resolder if you have to. The batteries could also be the issue.

tomorrow morning ill work on some soldering i have a feeling i know where the bad connection is. meanwhile lets see if i can upload pics...

any way to do this on a iphone?

You can transfer the pictures to your computer by usb connection or email them to yourself and from there youl could upload the files from your computer or put them on a photosharing site such as photobucket and copy their url.

my leadlight does the same thing when it gets hot...as well as when the batteries are weak...
