A very smart man said this... and it amazes how true it is:

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

Where does this new member live.... How old is he...
There is nothing in his profile....

Maybe he's using his dad's computer...

Or maybe he's the FDA....

Jerry

lol, I'm sure if that were the case they wouldn't ask for a laser that complies with all the regulations.

Why would I stay away from this?
You give out no information about yourself...

What's your name, what's the name of your business/company?
What's some of the history of your company?
Got a link to your website?
What have you done before, successfully?
Where are you located?

You keep us in the dark about all of this....
That's why I wouldn't even consider striking a deal with you, as of now.

Besides, to make 2W lasers you need to cherry pick diodes, and what do you do with
all the other 80-90% diodes that are not efficient enough?
Even so, your (our) customers will outrage when their 2W laser blows its diode after
a month or two of use.....
No thank you.

Not to mention that I personally consider 2W pointer to be a liability, way
too much power to flick about from the wrist, shit is bound to happen, and you
want to shift thousands of these units?
*Shudder.*

I'll have a machinist design an FDA compliant host and an electrician/ REAL LASER TECH design the guts......

Lol, who do you think we have on the forum? The machinist on the forum are the people who machine/design the FDA compliant hosts, unless you design one your self and send it off to a machinist the average joe metal worker wouldn't have a clue what an FDA compliant laser host is.

Real laser tech design the guts? Once again if you mean qualified engineers I'm pretty sure they deal with larger much more powerful lasers for scientific reasons, not just to make a profit and "burn stuff."

Once again the people on the forum are the people who design the handheld high powered lasers, the FORUM members are the ones who design the custom drivers.

Goodluck, especially now you've also alienated your MAIN market for selling high powered portable lasers. There's a reason all the big companies suck up and advertise on the forum

Makes you wonder two accounts created 2 days apart asking the same question.

I'm with T_J on the phishing, any angle you look at it looks scammish and unsafe...
