Information gathering stage for my next build

I haven't been on in a while, and I haven't had an interest in blue lasers
but from what I remember I only saw 405nm UV laser diodes, as well as
445nm Deep Blue laser, and then super expensive 473nm Sky Blue diodes, where for 30mW you'd have to pay hundreds of dollars

now I see there is a reasonably priced 462nm? is it new? did I miss it? is it as bright as 473nm? I can't seem to find any comparisons, what can you tell me about it?

also did prices on 473nm drop yet or still insanely high?

interesting, if they are new i bet chinese are not far from copying it and making it cheaper, will wait, its a shame 473 is still unchanged, god damn it

my brain
i wasnt being literal, other companies usually copy the diodes, patents do not work world wide, someone will copy the design sooner or later, prices always spike in the beginning, from there they only go down, few years ago 100mW green was hundreds and hundreds of dollars, now they are much cheaper

I will get 462, its the closest to 473, much more power, pretty damn blue, will take it to Ukraine and have a TON of fun with it there. I took my 30mW greenie to ukraine and shone it at a window of a building where I used to shine lasers when I was a little kid, I used to shine my 5mW red one, then 5 years later 30mW green, few years after I will be there with a 2W 462 :drool: i wonder who lived in that apartment, probably someone old

No, because people who abuse lasers by shining them at people and their homes are danger to society. Such irresponsible people should not have access to lasers, and only serve to damage the legitimacy of this hobby as a whole.
