Hello
I have got my 445 nm laser working fairly well. I made a brass holder for the Aziz and run it from a simple vero-board voltage regulator. The power comes from a DC P.S.U. with digital voltage and current readout. The voltage from the P.S.U is around 7 and is regulated down to around 4. The current is around 900 mA from source and this equates to around 3.6 Watts. However most of this is converted into heat at the diode. I think that the diode is probably running around 1 Watt.
I have attached a picture here showing the beam and the driver.
I would like to get a small driver I can fit in a torch, ideas would be welcome.
