Good afternoon forumites,

Dragonlasers is now selling 200mW, 400mW and 1000mW 447nm laser pointers.

Aurora 200mW 447nm

Spartan 400nm 447nm

Spartan 1000mW 447nm

It is a new product, just of the assembly lines and out of the testing rooms so to speak so exact specifications are not available.

At the moment stock is limited so if we have more orders than we can handle, preference will be given to existing Dragonlasers customers.

NOTE: I strongly recommend that if you order any of these lasers, make sure you make sure you have suitable laser safety glasses. If you don't have any, you can order our safety glasses that have an OD>4 for 447nm. You can find those glasses on our website here...

laser safety glasses for 447nm

Update One:

Batteries
- Aurora 2*CR2 batteries
-Spartan 1*Li-ion rechargeable 18650 battery

Warranty - 6 months for all models

Update Two:

First of the 447nm portable lasers were shipped Thursday. Expecting more shipped next week.

Update 2 Aug:
Batteries - The Spartan 400mW and 1 watt models take two CR123 batteries NOT 18650 batteries.

Hope theres not as much drama as Wicked Lasers is getting. As far as your lasers go, are there any legal concerns?

Also, I recommend that you get some of your lasers metered by Daguin or any other reputable member of LPF immediately to boost your sales. If in fact the Spartan 1W does produce an actual 1W than I would buy one right now. Good luck with your sale.

Dragon Lasers resells CNI lasers, so if they're selling it, you've got nothing to worry about.

not fussed on host though

and spec is <1W so i guess no guarantees even from a good company. though the cni's go upto 1W. guess the <1W thing is just incase people are complaining if its measured a few mW below a watt lol.

Looking good !!! It will be funny watching people cancel their "Arctics"

Can you please give specs for the Spartan series ?

-Batteries
-Divergence
-Safety features

Also, the price of $240 is actually pretty decent for the 1W.

EDIT: Noticed the 200mw and 400mW state "circular beam" while the 1000mW states "Rectangular beam"

Good idea to "clip" the output into a circle on the lower powered ones. Should give a nicer dot.

Very nice looking host! Well this will be an interesting event to watch and/or participate in. Is there a tendency for this diode to lean towards the 447nm vs 445nm wavelength as we've been accustomed to seeing? I realize that is a minute shift and there is always the possibility of having +/- variance, but I'm curious.

by clip you mean cut off the sides? i was under the impression that the correction optics just lowered the output power significantly.

Who else is jumping on the DragonLasers bandwagon. :)

I for one can't wait for my WL refund to go through :')
but less info on WackoffLasers, back to my point.

does anybody know what the difference between 445nm and 447nm is?

do you think we'll see a DragonLasers Spartan Series *DISCUSSION* thread anytime soon ?

I'm going to get one as soon as my finances permit. So... I'd give it a while. :p

What the heck? I see this laser as a better deal since he has the beam expander to fit this device!(though he's out of stock for now)

Does anyone know if you order one now when they will ship?

Re: Who else is jumping on the DragonLasers bandwagon. :)

I talked to Frank before and after the whole flurry of wicked laser orders and he said they don't have any plans of making a 445 model. So I asked him if he could possibly have his manufacturers make one and he said he would suggest it to his engineers. So possibly
