ahhh, ratio of say 1 foot spread over a one mile beam distance. that would be extremely expensive in the optics department. I've contacted a company here in seattle that specializes in laser optics and they've spec'd out some glass for me that will do what I need. its gunna be pricey but I think it will be worth it.

It finally warmed up a bit outside (3C now). rather then the usual where it snows sideways.

Out of all the pictures I took, I think these ones turned out best, and these pictures also mark the end of this project.

(also, the sky was very clear, could see some stars, clouds, so I did a detailed check for any aircraft before I took the pictures)

EDIT: I guess I did one last thing, this host no longer uses O-like's driver, now that I got the hang of diode driving, Im using a fairly efficient boost converter to drive the diode at 4.8V @ 1300mA.

Dang, I've missed this one before.
That's a very very good looking host!
And I like how the O-like module peeks out at the front.
