correct, the V2 driver has both ranges built into one, has the same input voltage range, will be able to deliver more power, and (still have to test this) should not be damaged by accidentally running it without a load.  Any orders placed now and in the past weeks will be receiving one.
dang I wish I would have known that. I had ordered 7 of the low range like 2 weeks ago. not a big deal, just $14..

any update one when the V2's are expected to be shipping?

Re: Lava Micro FlexDrive Driver (lavadrive2) fits

Just ordered a high range, this is my first laser project, hi powered red using a long die open can diode, Also just want to introduce myself to the community, lots of great info. Haven't worked with electronics for a while so I'm a bit rusty, but all this LD stuff is getting my brain back in shape. Guess its just what the Doctor ordered (pun intended)
Thanks Dr Lava

Re: Lava Micro FlexDrive Driver (lavadrive2) fits

Hi, thanks everyone. I have updated the order page for the new V2 driver. Also, if you need it, I added a preset current option. I don't have time to preset all of them, so there is a charge for this, but it's there if you need it.
Let me know if you have any problems with the page!

Hope you got a big order coming! You must have a lot of outstanding orders for your awesome drivers.

Did they give you an update on arrival?

ehm, these 13 pages are too much to read - do you sell them at the moment?
I got problems with the selling page the images are not loading and the loading time fot the page is pretty long too.

Re: Lava Micro FlexDrive Driver (lavadrive2) fits

Will the preset current option only be for a limited time or will that be an option from here on out? I'm going to order a 200mA one but wont be placing the order for another week or two.

Hi, sorry guys I'm still waiting on the assembler, but according to his extimated time they should be shipped express this week.

The preset current option will be there for the forseeable future. :)

Awesome. I'm sure I'm not the only one with a laser 90% built just waiting for it's "brain" ! :) This time I'm planning on seeing how much I can safely get out of a DT8011 in a 3.7v 1xaa host (formally a Lumapower 301)
