Yes, the diode presses into the custom module, and the lens threads into it the same as an AixiZ module...

But it is sized to fit the host. More mass than an AixiZ module. Also available in copper... (all shown in the first post)

Possibly, but you would have to first obtain the short module. And also modify it if needed...

Putting a green module in this host is really not the greatest idea if I'm being honest.

It can only fit a 10280 battery. Which is only 200mAh's capacity. I'm going to get maybe 30 minutes between charges at best...

If you like stainless steel, I recommend my new kit for a green module: :D (lots of heatsinking for any standard 12mm green module)

Most of the kits I have can use a 445 diode yes!

My kits are for DIY... They are for people who have read up on, and want to learn the joy of building their own laser.

The kits make it easy. Most of my kits offer everything you will need except for the laser diode, and the battery.

Here's a list of my kits:

To begin the learning process, start here:

what i am trying to do is find out is the prices of the kits for 445 so pretty much its just the price of the kit and if you wanted to upgrade to copper heat sink and if you wanted to do the hot option right?

Also lets say i did get a kit and i wanted to make a 445 out of it were would i get directions for making it, or would i follow the direction you already have up but dont do the things that would be for 405 or 650. I dont know if that made any sense to you but hey ;D

Most of my threads are 'picture tutorials' for the assembly...

But you must take the time to read carefully. Also, that link I posted in my last response is a good starting point for learning.

You can get lots of help here on LPF, but you must do the reading. Questions you ask, will show whether or not you are trying to learn. People will help if they see that you are really trying.

About the question you asked on pricing. All of my kit pricing and options are shown in the first post of each kit thread...

The one I just sent for Elitesound, was one that I had, but was spoken for. I also have a couple of other orders for these kits, and am in need of more hosts.

I just ordered some more a couple of days ago...

I first contacted the vendor via e-mail, and they checked their suppliers and came back with a 'yes, they are available'. So I ordered some.

But I'll know for sure, only when I actually receive them. Hopefully in a couple of weeks...

Green mod:

This took a lot of little adjustments to get a 'shortened' O-like 50mW module to fit in clean...

* Using a 200mAh 10280 battery
* O-like 50mW module - Cut down
* Current draw - 420mA's - Over powered at 65mW's - 80mW's peak

Here are the pictures...

This set up gives amazingly good heatsinking to the module. The module sleeve is fit so that the host screws down onto it. (making the entire host, the heatsink) The tolerance for this fit is very close. Otherwise I would have a gap where the head meets the host...

Sweet little 65mW stainless steel greenie! :D[/QUOTE]

I never offered a kit, I just showed it as a project that I did with this host...

This host has been unavailable from suppliers for several months now.

I'd like to find a source. It is a great little host!
