If your talking about my DIY Green kit linked in my post above...

... then yes, I could fit it for any standard 12mm module. And I believe the 473nm modules for the Aquarius may be a different diameter, but there is room inside the DIY Green kit to adjust the size of the heatsink, pill, and front piece to fit it I'm sure...

But the SS C3 host shown in this thread, will not fit normal 12mm modules completely inside like the 'shorter' 50mW module that I showed in the first post...

Edit: Oops, I thought we were in my 'Mini Green' thread. Yes, this host will fit a normal 12mm module. (with limited heatsinking though)

so are you saying that your MiniMag host will not fit a module that fits in 2xAAA GLP's? I understand that the CR2-GLP's are bigger and that those modules may not fit... but logically, I would expect that the modules in the GLP-AAA's (a.k.a the DL 'Viper' series) would fit inside this (at least they look like they'd fit). Also, when I say "this" (and every time I have mentioned "this" so far, including the previous posts), I mean the Mini MagLite kit that this thread is all about. If neither GLP modules can fit inside this amazing host of yours, what are the dimensions of the kind of module that would fit inside? Or rather, what should I ask CNI if I were to inquire about a custom-sized module (probably a 1-20mW 473m, or a >150mW 532nm)?

peace & thanks

wait so which of the following modules will fit in your Mini Maglite host? Well I'm going to list the host names (I'm not exactly sure how to list the modules by their names)

1) CNI GLP-AAA (DL 'Viper' Series)
2) CNI GLP-CR2 (DL 'Aurora' Series / LG 'Aquarius' & 'Rigel')
3) CNI PGL-III-M (DL 'Spartan' Series)

peace & thanks

Quite honestly, I have no way of knowing exactly what modules are in those lasers...

I know that the host will fit a normal 12mm module... The ones that we get from o-like...

But if your getting bare modules, perhaps they can give you the dimensions??

great idea! I'll inquire about it.

btw has anybody (to your knowledge) built a custom 473/589/594nm laser using this (MiniMag) host? What about for any other of your kits? Just out of curiousity; then again, it would definitely be great inspiration for the project (knowing I'd be the first...)

peace & thanks

EDIT: if possible, it would be very convenient if you could give me an approximate "max size" to make this easier. Because then I could just say "do any of these lasers *lists models* use a module that fits *lists dimensions of max module capacity* that size?". Thanks again!

If your getting prices on bare modules, then they can give you the dimensions...

Then you can tell everybody what the dimensions are, and it will be a much better situation for everybody to think about what host then could fit... :)

The prices are on the first page. He has another one for red or blu-ray I think, click the animation in his signature for a list of all of his kits.

You can't get an orange beam without paying a lot of money or combining red and green in the proper powers.

There is no orange beam laser pointer that you can afford, sorry.

If you would search, you would find that the cheapest, closest thing to a orange laser is around 400 bucks and is only 5mW.

The closes thing you can get to an orange diode is a 635nm diode. Orange and Yellow lasers are DPSS and quite complicated.
