Nice work Jay! Maybe you would consider making some for a regular host. After I posted pics of the one's I made a few people asked about them and if they were available. I have made about a dozen and they do add to the sell of the host. The one's I make now have a press to lip inside with a aperture the same size as the lens opening. I have a cad drawing if you want it.

Very nice! ;)

What's the idea posting a nicer looking one than mine! :D

I thought about making one for my Pocket Mini host because it too is a little bit hard to get your fingers on the AixiZ focus ring. But I would have to have it fit the the AixiZ focus ring differently. Because the o-ring style that I am using on my Kryton EzFocus adapter makes it too large in diameter for the Pocket mini head.

Possibly a 'press fit' to the aluminum piece. But I'm not sure just how consistent the tolerances are on the AixiZ focus rings.

But I think too, that it could just be glued on with a little clear silicone glue and would be just fine.

The o-ring mounting style I am using here, allows for some slight differences in size tolerance.

Use a smaller o-ring or a rubber insert like D_H does...
I would LOVE a Pocket Mini one!

Re: FS: Kryton EzFocus! Focusing Adapter For Kryto

I just finished my design for a Pocket Mini EzFocus adapter! :)

PMEz1.jpg

PMEz2.jpg

I will be selling these as an option to get with my Pocket Mini Kits, or separately! ;)

Note: Designed for use with my 405-G-1 glass lens modification, or my Meredith glass 'fit for AixiZ' lens mod.

You can set the module in the desired position. I will offer them knurled, as the pictures show.

These will be $20 dollars plus shipping...

Well, you know there's no time like when it's fresh on your mind...

This mounting method for the Pocket Mini EzFocus adapter will be fine, you just have to adjust the position of your module in the heatsink. Depending on what lens you have, the focus will differ. ;)

AdamR, I'll have your Kryton EzFocus adapter in today's mail/ Fit for the Kryton Groove, and knurled per you request! :)

Nice job man!

I like to show details so others can DIY, but it would not be too cool if you started selling them right along side me...

Your not going to do that are you?

It's important to understand that last I heard, Jay was out of a Job, and has nothing but time to sit at home and design wonderful gadgets and new innovative things for us to purchase. Hence the not competing with him. It's takin food from his mouth.

Good deal John, glad you liked my idea about the Kryton EzFocus adapter!

Very nice control over the focus huh?

You will love the 405-G-1 glass lens mod. Sypder just got his and look what he wrote:

Kenom, thanks for your support man! Yeah... we built over 200 pools in the last 5 years. But now nobody can get a loan! So I have had to make some serious adjustments and we're getting by just fine.

Really appreciate the thought Ken! :)

John Lawson, your a good man...

jamilm9, I guess I should look into an anodization kit. I have read that it is not too difficult to do. But it is new to me. I'll let you know if I get some black ones.

Excellent :D It'll be nice to not have to turn off the laser to tweak the focus. I'll be sure to let you all know how awesome it is (because it probably will be).

BTW that glass lens I bought off you is fantastic :) my two blu-ray lasers are able to do some easy and noticeable wood burning.

I'm sure you will like it Adam...

Is one of the 405-G-1 glass lens mods on your Kryton? This EzFocus adapter will go very well with the lens mod! :)
