Howdy all this is a new kit offered by me ;)
It is a Cree XPE "AA" host This host can be used
with one or two or even three "AA" cells more if
you like just add extention tubes. You can use the
kit with one Lipo 4.2 volt cell or with two or three
primary 1.5 volt cells for 3.0 or 4.5 volts input to the driver.
This kit comes with either a Aluminum or copper
heatsink a machined Aixiz module a micro boost drive and one extention tube.
Laser diodes and lenses are avable. as well as extention tubes.
The basic kit in aluminum is $73.00 and in copper $80.00

A one cell set-up

A two cell set-up with one extension tube.

A 3 cell set-up with two extension tubes.

Nice host:)
A host that uses standard batteries is a nice idea. Especially if you decide to give a completed laser as a gift.
Last Christmas I wanted to give a few 405nm builds away, but always had second thoughts after I contemplated yo having explaining proper lithium-ion battery charging and safety.
Would hate to go through life knowing that the cheap DX charger I gave my sister, caused her home to burn down:whistle:

I always loved this host. :gj: The Host is aluminum it real does a good job with dissipating the heat. With My PHR in it there is no run time, I can leave it on as long as i like, This host barley gets warm with it and with your heatsinking this would be nice for a 445nm build.:)

I really like the 2 extra extension tubes you added.

Just did a DIY on it.

Thanks for the kind comments ;)
Yes with extra extension tubes you can run just about any battery chemistery you want with this host.
It will allow you to run one Lithium cell or two or three primary cells so you can be using a 4.02 volt
single Lithium cell and when it dies you can switch to three 1.5 volt primary cells and keep going :D

This is a very cool kit as it can be assembled so that it can use different battery chemistry ;)
PM sent...

Sorry no they sell for more than that with all the parts for a complete kit please PM me for details.

Would you sell a fully assembled kit for $100 in aluminum or $110-120 in copper? Also, how difficult is the build?

EDIT: assuming a PHR build.

I got this laser today from mr jeff and this laser is just amazing. It is very slim and small.
But for it's size it is heavy! It feels very strong and very sturdy. It is a quality host with quality machine work and heatsink from FP. Mine is a 6x with 405-g-1 lens putting out 225 mW! Every single detail of this laser and how it is put together ia sturdy and pure quality. I love this laser and love the time and effort put into it by jeff. He doss extremely good work and I would recommend this kit and or anythin from him to anybody and everybody. Absolutely perfect. You cannot ask for better communication or customer service from anybody. He replied to every pm within hours and answered every stupid question I could throw at him! Thanks once again jeff' the laser is phenomenal!!

you got that right sir, it feels so amazing in the hand too. Tight, small, heavy, and balanced, especially with your Cu heatsink in there it just feels amazing. Definitely top 5 favorite hosts ever. And the extension tubes and being able to use a couple AA's is just phenomenal, the versatility is wonderful. Mine is currently on it's way to pyro to have the 6x replaced with a 12x (im pretty sure the 12x came from you glenn haha) and the driver reset to 500mA :eg:

Is it as hot and bright as what ?
I have one of these I carry all the time and it's set to 445mW out and has a 445nm diode so if you are asking if it is as hot and bright as that one then sure it is

is it as hot and brite using double AA"s? if so ill take it.
