Jay, with the EZ focus adapter screwed in all the way, does it shoot out a straight beam or is it wide?

If it does not focus the beam, then there is a problem. Do you have one of my EzFocus adapters that is not letting you focus?

If so, tell me about your build. And what lens, etc...

Oh no no I don't have one yet. I just wanted to know if it was screwed in all the way it would automatically focus the beam to infinity.

It can be adjusted to be that way by the position of your AixiZ module inside the heatsink...

Normally, there is a slight gap in case you want distance focusing.

Defining 'infinity' is also a matter of personal opinion...

I like 'best dot at about 40' for all around general pointing. But it will still be diverging at long distances...

So its not possible for you to build me an EzFocus that fit over the current aixiz knob? (Like an extension/on top of, clip on)

I do not want to remove anything from my lasers, i am affraid of breaking or scratching up the 405-g-1 or breaking the threads.

Depends on your build...

On a Kryton, I have a design that uses an o-ring to 'press fit' onto the AixiZ focus ring.

If there is room in the I.D. of the host, then I can make one in a similar design.

It is a pretty tight fit. And you need a little moisture around the edges of the AixiZ focus ring to get it go press in place...

Its an Aurora Cree that take one 18650, and have a 405-g1 +Micro boost drive.

I can get more photo of the front if you want.

I see ... it can be set to focus to infinity depending how you position the module.

I know that saying "focus to infinity" is definable but it's just easier to say and most people get the basic idea of what I'm talking about.

That's my black 18650 kit...

And yes, I can make an EzFocus adapter with the same design style using an o-ring if you want.

I would charge the same... ($24 dollars plus $3 dollars shipping)

But it's easy to just unscrew the aixiZ focus ring from the lens, and then screw my EzFocus adapter on. I put the AixiZ focus rings onto the 405-G-1 lens assemblies hand tight only. Granted, I turn it pretty hard so it won't come off easily, but it's still only hand tight.

However yes, if you must have an o-ring style, I can custom make one like that with this host. (there is room)

Yep... See my previous post. I can make one with an o-ring mount that you can press onto your lens if you don't want to take the lens out and remove the focus ring...
