If that's Igor's host, then I have the measurements...

Otherwise yes, I would need:

* The O.D. of the host at the front of the head
* The I.D. of the lip that the glass lens (heatsink) is sitting against. (also, is it a flush heatsink? Or does the heatsink protrude through this lip)
* And the depth from the top of the head, to the face of the heatsink

Or, just send me the laser, and I can make sure it fits properly...

Is it for an AixiZ 405 lens? This too, is something I need to know to get it fit properly. Especially if it is a press fit and threaded heatsink.

The heatsinks that are fit for an AixiZ module/set screw, give room for some adjustment of the module position. (to adjust the EzFocus gap at the head of the host)

Yes and Yes.

It's the same host Igor uses and it's for the aixiz 405 lens.

However, the lens I have is only threaded halfway.

If my lens wont work, then I'll take one of yours fully threaded lens too.

Let me know when you can ship the ezfocus adaptor :)

I see that it's a threaded heatsink...

That means that there is no room for any adjustment like you have with a 'AixiZ module/set screw' style heatsink.

I would really want to get it right for you, but I think it would be better to have the laser in hand.

Or if you are good at getting me some very accurate measurements, like make a drawing of exact measurements with the lens in the position of normal focus.

That's one of the key considerations. Where the lens sits...

Yes Jay, you are most likely correct. In any event, I received my 445nm host (niiiice press-in heatsink you made, btw :D) with an acrylic for protection during transportation.

So, does $28 Paypaled to your regular account get me on the waiting list?

That would be for the new AixiZ 445 lens with custom Focus Knob correct?

Your order from 6/28 is on my desk and waiting...

AixiZ is promising the wait will worth it. They are getting the lenses specifically coated for 445nm. (400 - 460nm)

I'll ship them out as soon as I can get them on hand...

I normally can ship fast, but just waiting on stock...

Ahh, nice. They should outperform the 405 coated in terms of output then. I just hope the beam quality is good too.

I'm told that the new AixiZ lenses are coated for 405-450 and will increase performance by 15% over the normal AixiZ glass lens. I wonder if the size specs will be the same. Bill

I'm guessing yes...

But that, plus testing power comparisons, will be tested right away as soon as I get them.

If it turns out that they are fine with just an AixiZ focus ring (unlikely), then I will message all of the people who are waiting for one of these custom focus knobs for a refund if not needed...

Has anybody inquired about these new lenses from Aixiz?
The reason the 405nm lenses work so good is because they are multi element.
Lets hope Aixiz does not try a redesign and bring a single element lens like jay and larry's current 405 designs.

Chuck only said they were getting a 400 - 460 coating...

He didn't say anything about a different design, so I just assume it will be the exact same set up. Just a different coating...

So technically, it should outperform (in terms of output) the 405-G-1 lens for 445nm , right ?
