I thought that perhaps if he moved he might have a different IP address that wouldn't be spotted so easily if he signed up with a different account name. But, yes, as a guest he could read all he wanted without being spotted.

Good point. Unless he moved to a house in the same neighborhood he very well would have a different ip address.

This is probably a stupid question - but will Paypal ever relax their 45 day timeframe in the case of outright fraud?

Not a chance. I mean why would they? There is zero financial motivation for them to do so.

Plus remember, paypal's @$$ is perfectly covered for such instances.

Unfortunately if he skipped out, we're all SOL. Pursuing this via legal means against stevie is also not viable. I mean in US you could go through small claims, and probably get a judgement awarded, but enforcing it is another story altogether.

I.E - Check your PM

Folks, Steve sent me a PM 6/30 4:49PM with a similar response to the one IE received. I actually had to send him money for an order and in few words asked that i hold off due to he's injury.

So he told you not to send him money?

Maybe this situation will resolve itself ok... but at this point I'm not optimistic.

Top section of the two individual PM's are identical in punctuation and penmanship. The facts are pointing to the obvious.
I would like to think he didn't want to accept funds due to hes condition but..
He would have had to provide a new address at some point . After reading the PM's today i would have sent pics of the package with return address to a mod at the very least.

Plus you could still come after him with a paypal dispute if he accepted your funds at that time. Also keeping the same story for everyone he was in conversation with keeps his credibility.

Thanks Dave I was wondering why you hadnt chimed in. Got some great info there. They seem fairly active online. We just need to find something current.

How does one locate a new address with that information? Who do you talk to the police?

I do believe his credibility is now gone altogether. Any chance of an automatic flag strictly for the B/S/T section to flag same IP on different users?
