i recently purchased lg 5mw lycra(gold) from 2007rev. process was very smooth with quik shipping priority from canada..he also included a extra pen with plastic carring case..TKS BRO.... i guess it is true WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND!!!!!! added extras are always a plus...

If I had lyra gold, I would not sell it for double the price.

This guy sold me a beast of a green laser that does 650mW average output. This laser has taken hold as the centerpiece of my colelction. I owe him big time for that once in a lifetime deal he gave me.

yahh i had to jump on half price lyra (gold) its a good collection piece...prob will never really use it tho..... ohhh and i will have a 1w greenie someday(handheld)

dear GOD!!!! *gags...clutches at chest... falls over*.. There are lots of lasers that cost that much, but the Herc is Chinese in origin. There ain't a SINGLE Chinese hobbyist laser making 1W (or 2 or 3) that's worth over 12 grand. Sorry. Maybe if it was SLM and a nice z-fold or an OPSL, but it isn't any of those. You can get 1.3-1.5W of 532nm direct from CNI or Viasho for less than $2000

I concur! and especially not 532nm.....

BTW electro... lasers are awesome :D I made my own bin to ASCII converter the other day... It actually came in handy... wow!

You can get 1.5W units, but not 1.5W handhelds.
Also, you are paying for the rarity of that 850 mW laser, read description below the list (if prices didn't blind you).
It says that production line throws out an huge overspecs like 850mW laser, so that is actually luck in production and efficiency achievement,
These are not produced that way.

But it kind of goes against logic, if they are producing 600mW laser and it throws out 800mW laser, why bump the price up 3 times, since it did not cost them anything?

That's true, but is portability really worth $10,000? I think not (but I guess it depends on the person).. I don't think the rarity quite justifies that price either.
