Thats not what is required to get the deal moving, it would be a moot point.

unless you are pro-active and listen to people trying to help you, you aren't going to get anything

Even if you just post the receipt with the right date and it's undoctored I'll make good on my original offer.

No diodes
No sleds
No drives
No receipt

Can you at least show us a macro of the driver in question with some handwritten date validation?

How about a copy of the shot of the >1W meter reading you sent to drlava?

Peace,
dave

Since the Dead LDs no longer exist...
the receipt for the drives has now become irrelevant...

@drlava.... I understand what you are saying.... but not
all builders are top builders that know what to look for...

And I can agree in general that the burden of checking
things out resides with them
... if they are NOT pre-set
(by you) drivers... then with a pre-set (extra cost service)
Driver... I see the burden fall on you... if it was a wrong
current set issue...
Again... I'm speaking in general....

the legal system in the U.S is about:

what would a reasonable person do
negligence
assigning and distributing responsibility.

a resonable person would buy a product and use it. you are more than a resonable person just by being a member here..

you and lava are both negligent (who is more? idk. you guys seem to have been working it out peacefully)

now you fall into 2 categories in a negative way first, a reasonable person would have proof of said defective product.. you do not, therefore a reasonable person would assume you are a scammer. next you fall into the negligent category by "installing" a second diode. what is the defintion of insantiy every body?

now i'm no judge judy but i know that Dr. Lava has been very generous...

in this matter i am completely unbiased... i have never spoken with you or lava, nor have i ever bought or used his products.

It looks to me like the drives were returned, those markings across the item on the receipt looks familiar to what I see when I return something to Wal-mart. It looks like a big R with the date underneath.

I guess it might be a employee's signature from fetching the drives from a safe, but it looks more like a return to me.

So you kept nothing from the drives? There is at least some motors and optics and stuff I think any laser enthusiast would keep for spyros and just random fun testing. I think your credibility is pretty well shot here. Your story does not fit.

I saved a copy of the receipt in case he chooses to take it down, anybody that has ever returned something or bought something from Fry's might be able to clear the markings up. I might call Fry's and see if they can look the transaction up for the hell of it. I think this guy bought the drives, immediately returned them and then tried to cash in on the sellers simple mistake. Why else would he use not one, but two of the most expensive drives?

Those are the guys initials, he checked the boxes, dated and signed off next to each one from the where they had these behind the cashiers.

This particular store does that, others dont have them hidden away.

then the pink mark , is when they check out your stuff at the door (which I hate) because they can see you walking from the cashiers..

No I never keep those things (optics,motors,etc..) i have enough from other sleds.

i might need to get some sort of adapter for the small open can diodes though.. since they shoot Ir and red , it would be nice to make a pen that can do both in one.

Yes it was for a i7 920 cpu overclocked machine.

It isnt/wasnt a con and as far as charity, in this case it would be charity, because i did not save the dead parts and i can admit to that being extremely stupid.

That's why there's an "or" in there. If I "knew", I would just say.

It is always very difficult to tell a really good con from actual naivete.

If you can scan a receipt, you can scan a driver. That will give us a good picture of the driver in question's condition.

Peace,
dave

sirvesa.. you got all of us involved and it isn't fair to us that you keep avoiding the question of "how long were you in talks with lave before you made this public. also were your talks deteriorating?"
