sent 30$ to Ben in UK for a bsc and dichros--NEVER got it and he offered a refund but that did not happen either. He has not posted in a while and no response to my PMs-its one thing to blow of the forum and go away but you dont blow off a deal-- anybody got another email addy or can you give him a call?? I will put a hex and some bad MOJO on him....works for me every time-somtin' always bad happens-- my doing?? who knows? mind over matter.

J/K about the Hex--
who knows? it may turn up someday or maybe Ben will send me at least part of my $$ back.

This guy scammed for 30 bucks?! Unbelieveable, and this is it - he has reputation points (a lot) just for 2-4 pictures he posted.

I think you guys should think before giving these points, if I needed I would buy it by myself from him, because of his reputation points I wouldn't have a problem to trust him.

@hakzaw1 I'm really sorry to hear you were scammed, hope you get that money back somehow.

There should be different types of rep points- Rep points for successful trades, and rep points for other stuff.

These recent scammers are just pathetic. I mean at least put in the effort if you're gonna scam people.

Anyway if he never even sent anything it should be an easy paypal dispute to win. He'll have no proof of sending anything to you and paypal will give your money back.

All one needs to do is read the reps on their profile to see what they were given for..

Unfortunately you can only see 10 at a time. Herruu has some interesting negatives, but they are gone now because of a video he posted.

Bottom line the only defense is common sense, and doing your homework. Even then you can still get burned.

I think its time we start using rep and trusted middle men for transactions.
If we do this we can stop alot of the scamming.
We know who the reputable members are some of us have held over 9k in money for group buys and have no issues with trust.
This is getting way out of hand if we use middle men the scammers will stop looking on the forums for marks.
They will move to other places.
We also have member doing a middle man to get laser into the us if you fear customs. might be time to act this on all non proven members.
Even if they are vets i think they need to be looked at considering the recent things going on.
This is not to say do not trust anyone but it goes to show you cant be to careful.

I Have to Agree with You, and that is a SAD thing, as it really shows what the world has come too. There have always been scammers, but now it seems They do a few honest deals then start scamming every other transaction. Doing it this way They can keep the scam going longer before They get caught. At least We have Vets on here that will make great middle-persons.
