Not that I want to be overly cynical but there may also be the chance that mum & dad just don't give a flying frak.
The standards and moral values are established during our developmental years, and if this kid was never taught better than this, chances are it was "handed down"
What I am trying to say is, if dad brings home "extra" tools from work, or mom brings home gallon jugs of mayo from the pub she works at, just how upset can they get with junior for doing the same thing??
Small "disputes" just let it go, One day you will leave tips bigger than that.

Yeah, I see what you mean, and hell, maybe his parents will tell me tough shit, I really don't care. If I get my money back without getting them involved, all the better, otherwise, I have no other options unless I go to a collection company.

Just a quick suggestion here, you should probably put together a formal agreement in writing, along with his signature (printed, signed, scanned in, emailed to you), confirming the fact that he does, and amount that he owes you, and the way and time in which he intends to reimburse you. Remember you will probably have transaction fees, it should be clear who should pay them. Signed documents are invaluable, in case you have to take it further.

I would like to point out taht my involvement with the driver mess is not as indicated above. I loaned him money ($300) for the drivers he was going to make me and he only shipped me about 20-30 (can't remember back that far) but never did recieve the over 100 I was supposed to. The ones that he did finish and ship went to senkat not me.

Problem is the international boundaries, Not really sure but I'd wager it would cost over a grand in legal fees to attempt an international recovery effort, using courts and such.

Fraud is fraud no matter what country you're in. If he is under age then threaten his parents, because they are responsible for his actions. Spent $25 to get a lawyer to write you up a threatening letter, include all the names of the people who are involved, then send it registered to his parents, I think you will see quick results.

i would really like to see how this turns out. i dunno how people can be like that... i mean even as a kid i never owed people that kind of money. i remember in elementary there was this guy who kept promising pencils and candy to everyone, but could never pay off. his mom was just like tough shit to all the kids. this other guys mom made him pay up most people.
