I'm currently trying to install 7 on my laptop. Its currently running Vista Business 32 Bit with 4 GB of RAM.

As a student, I got Windows 7 Professional 32 Bit for $29.99!

Hopefully my computer will perform a little faster now...

I'll share how things look after I get this thing installed..

apparently, Windows 7 doesn't want to install on Battery power!

Well if the battery should croak for some reason, I believe you'd have to start over again so that's actually a good thing if you ask me.

True... however I'm quite impatient when it comes to these things! lol

I finally got it installed, I didn't have any problems with installation, and it only took about 2.5 hours for the "upgrade", I had lots files, settings, and programs to transfer.

7 runs very... "snappy" on my PC. Its very prompt, and loads programs and files well enough for me.

I haven't tried any boot -up tests with it though...

I'm on a University campus with the secure network so I had to downlaod the Professional version... it took some work... but I'm now fully conected again and running!
