I wonder why the hell Windows 10 has auto-enabled defragmentation. Everyone knows it's bad for SSD's to defrag them, and since these days pretty much every PC/laptop that ships with Windows 10 on it has an SSD, this should really be disabled at default.

No real problems on my laptop , ^^ just turned it off .
Ipod touch isnt showing new pictures for some reason when I look in the image folder , worked fine on 8.1

After updating, I couldn't seem to be able to shut down my laptop. It will reboot instead of shutting down. Anyone encountered this problem?

^^^^and my friends told me i was stupid for clean installing win7 on my laptop instead of upgrading! I hope for the sake of y'all that updated they fix the bugs quickly. Having a buggy computer sucks.

Several days in and still not a single bug at all. Zip, nada. Nothing wrong. This is the exact opposite experience I had with win8.1 !

The problem on mine was the refresh rate of the LCD, it had been reset to default (fast) with the new installation . All sorted now...could well be the best Windows I have used.

Better yet the OS could dectect if you have an SSD installed an deactivate defrag. It even says "SSD1" in my device manager, not too hard for the computer to read that

Welp I have a dual external tv tuner that I use a lot and slingplayer as well but to schedule programs and get the bios in movies and such will not be supported as W10 has no media center support that's a no go on my home pc... but my window tab just might do it.

Do you happen to have the Laserbee software installed? That is the ONLY reason I haven't updated. I emailed Jerry, but he basically said it would be at least several weeks before it was tested with Windows 10.
If anyone else has the Laserbee software, let me know if it works for you. With Windows 7, I had to disable driver signature enforcement to get it to recognize the Laserbee hardware. Does W10 have this feature? If so, can you disable it as you can in W7?
If you're doing a clean install anyways, why not simply try Windows 10, then revert to a clean install of Windows 7 if you don't like it? There are many reviews that say it offers significant performance improvements over 7. As soon as I can confirm my Laserbee software will work, I'm going for it. Windows 7 will definitely be a solid backup OS in case I don't like it or run into issues.

Signed driver enforcement is a pain in the ass for hobbyists and small time developers. It still exists in Windows 8 & Windows 10, but you have to go into the BIOS to change it.

As long as I can disable it, I'm alright with it. The only significant PITA for me was initially figuring out that I needed to disable enforcement to use the Laserbee driver. And the fact that it will randomly enable it again for no reason sometimes. But I will be upgrading to an SSHD this week, so rebooting will be a little less of a hassle. Your talk of SSDs made me realize that I completely overlooked SSHDs last month when I upgraded my laptop storage. So I'm about to purchase an SSHD and sell my barely-used 750GB Western Digital HDD.
Do you happen to have Laserbee software? If I can confirm that it works on Windows 10, I will be upgrading tonight. I want to upgrade so badly, but I need to confirm that it is compatible first.
