What transformer is this?

The primary wasn't burnt. I inspected the visible windings and the insulation is intact as far as I can tell. I already replaced the thermal fuse and I have been using the speakers everyday since without problems.

I'll be happy if you can figure out the two traffos later.
Were you able to figure out why the fuse was tripped? I've read that it is not recommended to reuse a trasnformer that had its thermal fuse tripped as the copper wire varnish may have melted or such but if it works without overheating then it should be fine. :)

I'll reply again later about the transformers as soon as I check them out later at home. ;)

OK naman. :) nothing much to do at work. If you are nearby maybe we can do a meet up. I'd like to meet others with lasers too.

I'm living in Negros Occidental. I know a member here named TomD. I think he is in Makati.

I had a quick look of the transformers and it seems that your guess is as good as mine since I haven't seen one similar to those before.

I dismantled an old UPS before and applied 220VAC through a light bulb limiter to a suspected primary winding and then measuring the various taps and noting them on a piece of paper. What are the battery voltages on the UPS's?

The battery is a 12V SLA. I will apply mains voltage on the suspected 220V side and try to measure the outputs.

use a light bulb limiter incase you suspect wrong. That will limit the fireworks and prevent letting the magic smoke out. ;)

I just measured one I had by using it "backwards." It's center-tapped 17.4V which makes sense because that's ~12.4V peak per tap and they operate by pulsing the 12V battery through one tap, then the other. Google modified sine.
