Firefox.

I dont know what issues you guys are having with slowness, but mine is smoking fast. Well under 3 seconds to load LPF on average. Faster on most other sites. And the privacy, and security add-ons work without flaw. I really dont have a single complaint.

I use FF, Chrome & Safari. I recently went back to FF from Chrome because of Google's spying (I now use nothing but private browsing). I also don't like the difficulty in both saving and retrieving favorites in Chrome.

Whatever you use, I recommend you download Ghostery. It lists and blocks (f you have it set) all advertising cookies, malware, etc.

Ghostery - Download

I've been a pretty loyal IE (was running 8) user, and a few days ago a friend of mine talked me into giving firefox a shot.

Holy shit what differance, regret now not having used it before, it literally loads 5X faster, and I like the add-ons like adblock+, noscript, requestpolicy and ghostery.

I usually run CCleaner at the end of the day to clean up all temp files, cookies, history, index, dns cache, etc that IE left tons of behind (despite having the settings set otherwise), with firefox it actually does what it says and leaves nothing behind (still run CC out of habit and wipe free space).

Thats whats nice about CCleaner, it covers everything. the next stage of deletion from that is full drive wipes for system essential files and your own custom/personal ones.

The first thing I did when I got my first PC back in the early 90's was download porn. Got a virus from a zip file in under 40 minutes, LOL.

Yeah, fixing friends or family computers from time to time.... it can be awkward to find some files/logs on a computer. With one uncle I got sick of dealing with the same shit every month, so just added a few more lines to the hosts file:shhh:

Unfortunately spreading viruses through porn is a time honored tradition that's not going away anytime soon.

So I tried out SRWare Iron. Actually using it right now:)

It does work well with the two plugins I used, (ghostery and speed dial) and if anything actually seems a tad faster than stock chrome. Nothing I can put my finger on specifically, just seems a tad more spry.

Thanks for the good recommendation... +2.

Go with SRWare Iron. It's Chrome, without Big Brother.

I'll try it out, thanks:beer:

Do some plugins work with it though? Only one that I really do need is speed dial... I'll test it out tonight.
