Regaining L33tness W/ help from Hak5.org

I have been out of the techno loop for about 12 years.
I kinda miss the good ol' days of ownage. Ive come across a website that I have gotten a lot of info that may push me into rejoining the leet club.
I now have the full color driver extension and a 445 on the way so I believe all is done for a while with this very fun laser chapter of my life. This forum has been a great tool of knowledge for me.
Since this is the geeks corner I am looking to get confirmation that the info I get from hak5 is a good start or not.

I really like MITM,it's all new to me,

I just looked there.... I didn't stay long enough to look at much but I'm not sure what you're asking. I'm sure you could learn stuff there. And as for MITM, my favorite thing is using ettercap to replace images with whatever you want the problem is I can't seem to get it to work reliably all the time It's also scary how POP mail programs just broadcast your password like that every few minutes. It's even scarier how easily I can get facebook, gmail, etc. passwords provided they ignore the warning that pops up.

Yeah I've really been out of it for some time but I do know you can change images like that with mitm.I saw the pineapple mitm router and that seem like it could be a lot of fun.
I have a lot to catch up on. Basically I want to teach my friend that they are not safe,(through social networking).

I probably should not be encouraging Jasager use unless your in legit pen testing but...

Seriously thats worth 30 dollars open-mesh.com. Same Accton router, Atheros AR2315, 32MB DRAM, 8MB Flash. Just add OpenWrt+Jasager or Piranha. Piranha does a truckload more out of the gate then a rotten pineapple without the $80 markup.
Add a SD/microSD card if want storage.
Now what do I get for not simply selling them for $100 or *gasp* $90?

Wow thanks for the info, it does look exactly the same. You just saved me $80.
My friends are so screwed.
Also I would like to use one of these to possibly start a pay wifi hotspot when I go out and about.
