Hi guys,

I hope it's ok too post this here, basically I need a hand hacking my PSP in order to allow me to install a universal remote so I can control my TV and sound equipment.

Basically I have a PSP "PHAT" or 1000, I have upgraded it to 5.03, and dropped in the h.bin file too the root and also put the Chickhen.ttf file in the PSP/PHOTO section.

I have been trying literally HOURS to try and get that green flash to tell me it's working but it just won't, I've tried everything from formatting my memory stick and putting the files on it, using a different memory stick restoring to factory default settings and doing it and nothing will work.

If worst comes to worse I can mod a spare battery I have from a broken PSP, and I also have a spare 512mb memory stick.

Hopefully someone here can turn up some advice?

Cheers,

Ash.

PS: Hope this is the right section?

Don't worry, I managed to get it too work! FINALLY!

I changed the Character setting from Japanese to US, I think that's what did it.. As I was just about to chuck the PSP out the window it decided to flash :)

Sometimes devices "smell" the danger( in your case it saw what you were gonna do with it ) and decide to get their ass working :)

Anyway, seems a nice hack. So you can now use your psp as a remote Tv controller?

I love my PSP's custom firmware - such a shame the modding community seems to have mostly died out. Bigger fish to fry I suppose.
