Wink Mova Globe and Solar Mendocino

I saw the iPad thread and heard everyone talking about how great is was, blah, blah blah.

I think these are as useful and as cool.

They both use a version of a Mendocino Motor which is basically a free floating, self perpetuating engine that operates off solar cells.

The Mova globe appears to be basically a Mendocino that is encased in a globe that rotates.

I've gotta get me one of each of these.
Just thought they were very cool and I'd share.

Indeed, the mova globe thing would look great on my desk, I just found this link on the principle of operation of these things:
How Does a Mova Globe Rotate? | eHow.com
very clever bit of technology!

But at over $100 for the small ones, I'd rather spend this money on a laser, a tool or a measuring instrument.

The thing is, I think it'd be much cheaper to DIY it. I mean, it's 4 solar panels, some wire and some magnets.
