Lazarus data recovery program

Does anyone remember someone posting info. regarding the LAZARUS DATA RECOVERY PROGRAM ? If so, could you PLEASE RE-POST that info. for me ? Thanks so much.

I found a couple of posts about it by searching for "lazarus". Apparently it's a Firefox plugin formally called "lazarus: form recovery" that saves text you type into any web page, thereby preventing loss from loading a different page.

Hi Pat, Yeah I JUST found it right before I read your post. One version was free from an out-side source, but the one I downloaded was inspected for viruses & other malware & only cost me $3.00 through PayPal. So that's the one I bought & downloaded. I had it before, but last week my lap-top crashed & I had to have the entire OS wiped clean & re-installed. When that happened, I lost that program. It comes in pretty handy sometimes & now I'm glad I've got it back. Thanks for your help buddy. BTW, how ya doin' Pat ? Long time, no chat. So, what's new ? Any earth-shaking news to share ? rob

I'm curious where you found a site that charges you for software that's supposed to be free.. I'd be careful with that, Rob. Could be risky. Any respectable download site will have already verified that it is virus free.. you shouldn't have to pay for that.

It has been awhile since we talked.. Nothing much new to report. just working, raising a family and yapping on laser forums. How 'bout you?

'bout the same here Pat, 'cept I'm not working. I already told ya about my PC crashing, that's why I was AWOL for about 5 days while it was getting worked on. Thanks for the tip about the LAZARUS program. I'll watch out for that in the future. rob

Sorry your laptop crashed like that. Hope you only lost programs & had a backup of any important files (or got them before the reinstall).
I had my hard drive fail awhile ago (totally dead). While I was waiting for the new drive from newegg I kept using my laptop with a linux liveCD & USB thumb drive. I became quite fond of linux & now I only use windows if I must (can't recall the last time).
There are some great linux recovery LiveCD / Live USB suites. Add the worlds tiniest USB thumb drive & take it anywhere.

Do never pay for downloading free software. Firefox plugins can easily be found on the firefox site.
