I know a guy in Rockhampton who used to work for me with a coil winding machine :)

I looked at a winding machine but can't find on that can hold a 200mm form.

im looking into that, i have a chuck and motor assembly from a old battery drill to play with :D

You could use a stepper motor and a microcontroller, and you could actually count how many turns you've made :D

could but i dont have the brains for micro-controllers :D

I do have a few spare PLC's tho

ok guys, heres one completed coil:

Ive hooked it up to my own plasma speaker PCB which is very similar and it works pretty well! Ive increased the coupling and inductance of the secondary ad it seems to handle the bass stuff better :D

Looks freakin nice! Wish I could afford to grab one of these off you, decided to buy a laser cutter, so I'm well and truly broke now :D Maybe in a few weeks if you still make em :)

Sure thing :D

Should be able to do anything up to 500x300mm ~6mm thick no probs, could probably handle thicker but edge wouldn't be very clean :)

Intending on doing surface mount stencils for a nice price for members here hopefully :D

Fiddy, I'm personally hoping you plan on keeping these around for awhile. I think there are several of us who would love to put one together - but might need some time!

Test video of it playing some music from my Samsung Galaxy S2. The field given off does fuck with touch screens!
