Old rig: e4300 1.8Ghz @ 3.2Ghz via Tuniq Tower 120. Highest non-stable OC was 3.42Ghz.

New Rig: Q6600 2.4Ghz @ 2.8Ghz (Havn't messed with the OC to try the max yet. I just set it at 2.8Ghz the day I got it, because I kenw it could do it very easily.) Running an OCZ Vendetta 2 heatsink.

You can set it at 3.0ghz with the stock cooler. :)

Windows 7 is the best thing that has hapened for Microsoft since the Xbox.

I honestly am a fan of the bloated windows Vista.

I am running an e5200 wolfdale OC'd to 3.6ghz with acrtic-cooling MX-2 thermal compound on an arctic silver freezer 7 pro heatsink. It runs pretty damn good for a cheaper CPU.

I can't wait for the new i7's
Also can't wait for the new generation video cards. I just wanna see what nvidia and intel have to offer. The new phenoms and i7 + nvidia cards didn't make any impact on history, but maybe that's just me...

Is it strange that I am an Intel fan for CPUs and a AMD fan for graphics cards? Nvidea has screwed me over time and time again. Shoot one of their graphics cards managed to fry my north bridge after I set it up in SLI. I will never by Nvidea ever again.

Oh yeah, Nice birds.:)

I used to pile on more memory, stop all unessential services, and remove all unnecessary programs. Then I tweaked the page file and added an 80mm fan and adapter to the CPU heat sink. With these simple tweaks I could run 2Gig+ applications on my old 1.4Gig machine with no stepping or damage to the CPU. In fact it ran faster than all the 2Gig+ machines I have used.

Athlon 64 X2 3800+ (2.0GHz default) @ 2.85 GHz 1.44V with a Zalman 9500 cooler, idling @ 29C, load ~40C. Can hit 3.0GHz+ and is stable enough in Windows but not in stabliity tests (Orthos Prime). Has served me well.

I'm with you, man.

I've owned both ATI & nVidia cards.

nVidia are good cards, but ATI offers so much more quality...

I guess it just depends on the series, for example the 3XXX and 2XXX series from ATI were a big failure compared to the 4XXX series which are freaking awesome...

Intel procs. are the best. The main difference in OC is that AMD pushes their procs. too much and leave it almost on the limit, that's why you can only get 200mHz more out of them. Intel sets them at half the frequency of the maximum they can achieve, that's why you can get around 2GHz more out of Intel procs.

THAT'S WHY I OWN A HD4870 :):):)

2GHZ more out of a intel??? I am sure it's do able, but certainly not practicle. The most that I have been able to get out of my 2.4ghz quad is 3.6ghz STABLE.:):) I can't get it any hire than that!
