CPU Overclocking

I have several machines and generally don't overclock, but i do have one system that is running an Athlon FX-62 OCd from 2.8GHz to 3.4GHz with stock cooling. Runs 100% stable (right now the system has been running for 46 days without a reboot) under load. Temps are nominal at this frequency.

Current rig:
Core 2 Duo E6750 @ 3.46GHz (1.475v)
4GB Corsair XMS2 DDR2-800 5-5-5-15 @ 433MHz (2.1v)
HIS HD 4870 512MB @ 790/1100
Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R v2.0 F12 BIOS
500GB Samsung SpinPoint SATA in IDE mode (XP Home SP3 32 bit)
300GB Maxtor SATA in AHCI mode (Windows 7 build 7077 64 bit)
One of my four 1GB sticks of RAM is lousy and holding back the entire system (fails any faster than 433MHz). So, I'm gonna buy two 2GB sticks of 1066 XMS2 and see if I can't get 3.8GHz out of my CPU. If I can't I'm selling it, buying an E8400, and aiming for 4.0GHz.
Also, current system is six hours memtest stable and eighteen hours Orthos stable.

Time to bust in here with some old AMD clocking - I had my AthlonXP 2500+ (stock 1.8) up to 2.3 GHz although this was somewhat unstable) ran fine at 2.1GHz though.

Check out a program called CoreTemp, or even better, HWiNFO32. These seem to work reliably for me.
If using CoreTemp, DON"T FORGET TO ADJUST YOUR Tj MAX!! That's probably what some of you are having trouble with. Different CPUs use different Tjs, and it won't read properly until it's adjusted properly.
Current CPU: Core2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.83Ghz (stock 2.4) stable 24/7.
Temp at idle - 27C Load - 45C
I'm running a custom water cooling loop for cooling.
I can get it to about 3.3Ghz, but I like to keep the OC a little less aggressive. After 3.1 or so I get stability issues. I use HWiNFO32 to measure my temperature, and CPU Burn-in v1.01 to run at 100% load on all four cores.

this is great source for getting tips and seeing what others have done to their chips.
I used to overclock an AMD athlon 64 x2 3800+ from like 1.8GHz up to 2.4GHz.. had to have some really nice ram and a awesome fan / heatsink for it. i now own at 6000+ running at 3.02 GHz.. don't really need to overclock it as it runs great already and I'm happy with it.

A core2duo stock @3.00ghz, overclocked with a coolermaster V8 CPU cooler to 4.00GHZ, runs around 30-35 idle and 40-45 at 100% load, but my house is boiling

Intel Q6600 overclocked to 3Ghz. It's stock speed is 2.4Ghz. I have not increased the voltage. I don't know what the temps are but it is water cooled.

I'm using a Q9300, 2.5ghz quad core, so I don't think overclocing it is a good idea since it alredy gets very hot...

O/C'd to: 3.2GHz without changing stock voltages, so it's nice and cool.
RAM clocked back up to 1600MHz, but I had to increase the memory controller voltage a bit to stop the system from dying.
I suppose I could push it much higher, but I don't really want to... It's fast enough for me.
