Hey members,
I got these little balls from DX, each is 6mm in diameter and made of a strong Neodymium magnet coated with Nickel.
These are so much fun to play with, make shapes and structures and then squash them.
There are several basic small shapes such as triangles, pentagons and hexagons that you can make and then connect them to make interesting structures.
I first got a single pack of 100 balls, but it wasn't enough to make big structures so I ordered more and now have 600 balls.
Some of the things I made (all of the shapes are hollow):
20 sided shape (d20 for d&d players) made of triangles and pentagons:
Cat necklace (don't worry about the cat it's not tight):
A set of 4 mugs:
d20's of 3 different sizes:
Two hex nuts of different sizes:
The big hex nut opened:
After a while of usage some of the balls have small holes in the coating (near the poles where they stick to each other).
Also if you decide to get some - stay away from the 3mm balls, they're crap: the structures are very weak and the balls differ in size which is very annoying.
