I dont know Niko , That Geforce 295 seems to be a winner too.

I havent seen where they compare price wise but as far as performance is concerned, the 295 is a winner.

I do have to say that this is real good showing for ATI and quite a comeback.

It's a nice card, very good looking, I bought an XFX 4870 1GB a few weeks ago, it's got a black PCB which is a must and it performs very well.

For the price of £130 It's great, and more than enough power to run any game, the 5890/70 look to be a bit of an overkill and probably bottle necked by most CPU's apart from the I7. And presides nearly all LCD monitors run at 60Hz which means you won't notice any difference between 60FPS and 200FPS.

Until the prices drop a bit, and more demanding games are released I think I'll stick with my 4870 :)

Are you serious?

Dude, ONE 5870 is nearly as good as a GTX295.

Comeback? Okay now you're just trolling me.

What are you talking about trolling you?

ATI has had been doing bad fiscally , this is a good come back product.

The 295 is considered a single card although its running 2 gpu's.

HA is this guy serious? the 5890 DESTROYS the 295, as for the 5870X2 which is also technically a single card basically turns the 295 inside out, hooks it up directly to 240V and watches it melt.

HD 5850 is only 13% weaker in performace, but costs 30% less, is smaller and probably quieter, I think it's a better buy.

Also, GreenMachine, ATI > nVidia IMHO. The gtx 295 is only marginally better than some "older" ATI models such as HD4870X2, and with the ATI HD 58xx series, gtx952 is now obsolete, as ATI will release cards both cheaper and more powerful.

Just wait till new drivers come out, test two of them in tandem and voilá. Also, the i7 is not enough for ONE 5870...so IDK what they'll have to come up with for two of them.
