Not that i used it much, but if the server load is not a problem, and there is a way to turn it off for persons that doin't want the extra bandwidth, it sound's good to me.

Put the chatbox on unrealirc with a remote server...

I don't get what the big "loading" problem people have is.. have you guys got the slowest internet on earth? With or without a chatbox LPF takes about 0.2 seconds to load with my mediocre connection.

the problem is the vbulletin chat modifications are unreliable and can cause problems

going to contact th0ughts on the remote IRC option

I haven't used it since I jumped on once to try to get payment from BlueFusion!
(That means "a long time ago" for the NooBs)

How about using the #laserchat room that was originally setup for LPF? It's still fairly active during the right hours.

If you are discouraged by BlueFusion or any of his comments, please let me know and I can deal with it. If you must vent yourself in there, please do it in PM to him (/query BlueFusion)

We have a bunch of operators in there, including me, marianne, MarioMaster, Kenom etc, and there is usually always at least 1 of us on at any time to deal with any problems. We may look at adding a few more people if it gets popular enough.

I voted no, chatboxes are slow and an unnecessary load on the server, IRC is a lot faster. I always keep logs, and am pretty much in there 24/7 (Have been for about 3 years now), if wanted, I can make a little bot which logs the chat, and accessible from the internet.

I agree with Things, #laserchat is great. Plenty active, and quite fun. I'm going to vote no, to help keep #laserchat alive.

yeah i agree having laserchat plugin for LPF is best, no point splitting stuff up

BF doesn't bother me. The comment was simply to give the veterans a time frame.

I only really used the chatbox once.. i didnt mind it when it was there.
i think its a pretty cool function.

Hey Dave,

It wasn't directed at you, I know a few people have come in and started ranting about how BF has scammed them. To keep the place sane I am just requesting if people must do that, to take it to PM with him, since #laserchat is to talk about lasery stuff, not how much BF has ripped you off.

I dont think you know how to quietly express yourself , hence my neg rep from you, so i doubt you should be the one to give advice in the "quiet way".

i publicly express my thoughts , no conmemoration to you, in a way where everyone will know what is going on . In keeping things in PM you r are cheating potential suckers from being scammed.

Furthermore, i doubt that your comments have any backing when dealing with the genreral LPF public as of lately. Long gone are the days when a PHR costs an arm and a leg , and prices are low enough that anyone can have aBR in their hands.. People like Laser_Ben have lost their shine and have resorted to less than exemplerary subjects here.

Of course in the same breath I'm not bashing anyone but just putting the truth out there. Other stars have shown up, Dark Army of One, and taken their place on the forum. but the truth still stands. Prices are not the same as they used to be , those who you thought were stand up gentlem have turned into scammers, whether people want to admit it or not.

Other that have always been " kind of funny" in that subject , Jake21, are no longer here.

I myself have purchased from you and i think you can handle business.. so do not take this as a personal attack. but more of an eye opener for business here and now.

I personally don't care what people think of him, thats their opinion. People here are good at jumping on the bagwagon and just going with what other people say, but people dont have the right to bash him if they havent dealt with him. If you think he's a scammer, sure, think that way and dont buy from him, simple.

I have bought lasers from BlueFusion, it has been a while, but I am not stressing, I know I will get them in the long run.

I have been sitting in laserchat for around 3 years now, I have seen many, many people walk in and start complaining about BF in the middle of a conversation. I am just giving people the hint that no one in the room really cares what you think of him, and if you have problems with him, to PM him directly, we have better things to talk about.

Not sure about you, but there are a few people here that think you have been negative lately, and going by your rep page (Yes, I have bad reps too, but I have earnt myself enough of a reputation to have 1005 rep points over the last 3 years or so on LPF)

People can do their own research. There's a thread about BlueFusion already, if people want to buy from him, they can use that little box up the top with "Search" in it, and they'll have all the info they'll ever need, we (and other laserists) in #laserchat dont need people interrupting conversations with people crying over how BlueFusion has ripped their friend off (This happened just the other day).

Easy, give me a little while and I'll give you some code to do it.

Try this:

Add or delete them as you need them, and put them somewhere in your "remote" scripts section.
