takes 5-10min to laod everypage - addvertisements

due to the two advertisement at the top of the page that everybody has gone to and are always the same. it takes ages to load and when i get angry at click everything my pc freezez and i stay away for a while.
at the bottom of the window it says.
"waiting for http://pagead.googlead.l.google.com/pagead.etc....

I use firefox with adblock plus... I've never had pages here take more than a couple seconds to load.

the only banners I see are for laserwave, skylasers, warnlasers, stonetek, and jayrob's heatsinks.... actually that's a lot, but no syndicated banners or anything that loads slow.

it shouldn't be taking that long to load. i have not noticed any problems for the last few weeks, even when using slow networks with speeds of less than 5Mbps. i just checked the server and there has been hardly any load over the last 48 hours. the cpu load on the server has not been over 2 for the last 6 days.

i think the speed problem has something to do with your ISP, or possibly a setting on your machine. try using firefox and disabling the cache by setting it to 0mb; sometimes using RAM to store the cache is faster.

please remember that the forum would not be possible without ads. if everyone blocked the ads i would not make enough to keep the site going. it costs a lot to run the forum and i spend hours every day doing maintenance to keep it running as smoothly as possible.

I keep the ads on. They look pretty and they make money for the forum.

Btw all of you people complaining about load times need a faster comp. The ads don't give me any trouble at all.

google adsense does pay per click, for more information on adsense check out http://adsense.google.com , it truly is a great program to join if you have a web site

Guys, use Opera with the block option.

i have them ALL blocked, dont even see the frame.
