It's being slow as crap Avery.
It behaves as if there is sever packet loss.
Once in awhile a page will load normally, but right now it and for the past couple horus or so it take multiple trys to get a page to laod and sometimes never does.

I know Dave said it was a local problem, but it's a pretty darn widespread local problem, it's bad in Colorado, California and Florida and other places probably as well.

I would contact your ISP or if possible look at your network stats yourself for the past couple hours, either traffic to the LPF has gone through the roof and slowed things to a crawl or lotsa packet loss.

I am not having any problems at all.

If you do that, only delete your cookies from laserpointerforums.com. They are used elsewhere for various things, including remembering your password on sites and other data.

I have no problems now.
My only problems were with the laser glow banner, and slow loading while running bit-torrent simultaneously with surfing.

(I use firefox on Ubuntu)

Yeah, I've always had some problems with the LG banner ad, but I think it's just the firewall/proxy server in use here, but never any problems even with BT running. Firefox on Fedora here.

this is def not related to any banners on the top, the issue appears to be a ddos/script attack from a few specific IPs at the application level

some IPs have been blocked for now

Hi Avery,
Can you tell us the country this attack originated from, or was it from a large botnet?
