Hi Guys,

I purchased a vbulletin 3 mobile layout from vbmobile.com and installed this on LPF. This was $500 but should make mobile browsing a lot easier on LPF. Other large sites like androidforums and bodybuilding.com have this plugin according to the vendor.

Right now the "default" settings are in place, so no LPF logo yet, etc. I will work on stuff like that throughout the week. If you notice any issues / bugs please post in this thread, but I am hopeful it should be reliable.

Best Regards,

-Avery

Very very cool. This is a great addition.

One initial glitch I noticed with mobile column sizing:

This does not look good at all on my iPad! How do I access the non mobile version from an iPad?

Hi Alan,

I don't have an ipad so can't troubleshoot the issue. What isn't working properly / doesn't look right for you?

it is totally different and many things are missing. I had mostly been using my iPad here lately but I am on my laptop now, I would like to be able to keep using the iPad with the full display and features, there is too much missing.

Yes I'm the same as Alan, while I don't know about how it is on a phone, it's not very great on an iPad right now. Is there a way to toggle between mobile and desktop while on mobile?
Like as of right now I'm not sure if I can access user CP, and those things that say 'button' doesn't really do anything.

An iPad shouldn't even be considered mobile, on any other site I get the same site I get on my Windows computer unless I am using an app for that site.

i removed the button links. if you are using an ipad please go here and copy and paste me the exact user-agent it shows

http://gs.statcounter.com/detect

that way i can potentially whitelist iPads so they get the regular layout of the site

Same from my tablet. I prefer the straight desktop version, even on my phone i prefer that. If i can switch back to how it was i would, full site is what i enjoy

Pretty bad from my phone, have to switch to desktop view. All the posts are different sizes, columns are weird, and layout in general is weird on the mobile version.

Mozilla/5.0 (iPad; CPU OS 8_1_3 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/600.1.4 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/8.0 Mobile/12B466 Safari/600.1.4

That is the user agent it shows for me. New LPF Mobile sign looks good, btw :)

I tried setting it so iPad users get the DarkShadows layout

Please refresh your browser on your ipad and let me know if it shows DarkShadows now

Well I like it! Thanks Avery!
To everyone else, you can just enable the desktop version from your tablet. Problem solved!
