how many post approximately? was there any evidence of specific posts that u kno u had before that are now gone?

today i did delete a member and all of there threads they created (meaning anyone who posted in threads that the deleted member started could have lost post count)... but i did this not Tues morning but Tues evening

I haven't really looked for which posts might have disappeared. I don't know if Lasersbee knows of any specific posts. He keeps track of his count, and I was aware because of the impending milestone.

I don't think that either of us really cares much about the absolute number. It was just one more strange thing that happened concurrently with the "Major Drama." ;)

im pretty sure it was due to me deleting a member and all of there posts / threads

this took out about 300 posts when i did it

It is no problem for me. I was just curious. The timing was just strange.

Ray caused a lot of ruckus. Because of it a mod had to be removed for doing things that should not have been done. The problem should have been taken care of from the start whenever someone publicly announces an attack...

EDIT: Wait a sec... who the hell am I to point that out... not my place

Hmm, didn't even notice that happening. That's too bad :/

Ray was pretty funny though, I just thought he was a P.O.ed kid. He was talking a lot of nonsense, but did he actually accomplish anything? I don't think he had the brains to :D

As Daguin stated... loosing Post counts is not a big deal... just that I noticed
it during the "Drama" thread and subsequent post deletions..
I have no clue which of my posts is gone... nor is it that important..

If those posts was in the one that c0ld have deleted, there's nothing to do ..... as far as i remember, about VB script, when you delete a thread, automatically all the users lost all the posts that they had in that thread from their counters ..... and, if in the last versions of VB this management is not changed from when i was playing with it, some years ago, there's no settings for prevent this ..... (but i cannot be 100% sure, about this ..... i stopped to use VB more than 3 years ago, and maybe in all this time, they may have changed also this .....)

Well it seems the mysterious Thread disappearances have started
again... I just can't find the Thread I started this morning entitled...
"Did I miss something.....".

I haven't received a PM or E-Mail from an Administrator or Mod...
Since I'm the one that opened the Thread.... I would have surely
been notified if I had done something wrong... so It can't be that..
So it must be an outside Hacker doing this....IMO...:yabbmad:

if there are any specific threads / post gone let me know but i haven't deleted anything todya.. anything deleted by other mods doesn't get permentently deleted from the DB until i approve it

if trhere is specific thread title post u think got deleted let me know i can send the logs or a screen shot of all the 'soft' nonpermennt deleted posts
