Hi there Cold, i have been eexperiencing this for the past 3 days, Im using IE8 to browse the forum, when I go to the site of the forum and enter my password and log in, i will see the welcome screen telling me than im redirected to the forum. but what happens after the redirection is that im seing im not logged on, so what i will do is to refresh the page 2 times and there i will see that im Logged on.

another is that if i posted in a link and the next day i will visit that thread it will keep refreshing until I will push the stop button and refrsh it by my self..

is there a conflict using IE8?? i am using this last month and im not having any results like these before..

I also use IE8 and I've never seen that happen to me before. Reset settings? Try compatibility button?

Switch to Opera for the goodness sake xD

A part from that, this is because IE is so FAIL that isn't reloading the page and showing you a version stored in the cache instead.

1) Chris said he likes IE, so instead of telling him to boycott it, try helping him instead of spamming how great Opera is.

2) IE isn't fail. Many people (including myself) use it and are satisfied with its performance. IE is the securest browser for windows as long as you know what you're doing with it.

Probably just a Vista bug. I thought you were a computer guy? Shame on you for still using Vista :na:

Well, I'm using Win7 and LPF works fine for me when I visit with IE8. So that is why I am guessing it's a vista issue. I guess try to reinstall IE8? Did you reset factory settings? Compatibility mode? Weird....

ROFL, this is the most stupid thing I've ever heard on this forum. Really, no offense but you can't be talking seriously.

Also, I just can't help with IE8 since I don't use it, however I'm already giving him the solution: changing to Opera would save him most of this errors.

Albert...do you have any education as far as operating systems and browsers go? And when I say education, I don't just mean bs that websites feed you to get you to use their product. I mean actual education, like college, research, writing papers, etc.

How is it the stupidest thing you've ever read? Why don't you back up your argument? Every browser I've ever used is fairy susceptible with the default settings. This includes IE, FF, Opera, Mozilla & Chrome just to name a few.

Telling him to change browsers isn't an appropriate solution. He clearly stated that he likes IE8. Do us all a favor. Stop with your OCD and leave us the hell alone with this Opera shit already {Oh no, I swore. Watch Albert call the forum police on me now}. If you like Opera, that's good for you. I really hope you enjoy it (And I'm not being sarcastic, I mean that sincerely). Annoying everyone with it is only going to make people like me who don't like Opera hate it even more.

Glad to hear it's working fine again. I'm surprised the "Reset to Factory Defaults" option didn't correct that...

Great to hear you got it working :)
I know it can be a pain to have to change OS or browser so it's good to know that people who are used to IE8 can still use it.

well since vista SP2 has some bug issues when internet explorer 8 is used.. due to the settings of the FEEDS... microsoft told me if you will use WINDOWS 7 Ie8 will be more secured than Firefox and Opera.

Actually the one with a lack of education is not mine, anyway, if you are intending to start a flame war here leave it, I'm not gonna follow your game.

Have to agree with MFO. By you pushing Opera down everyone's throat it makes me not want to try it. Most people shy away from hype. Which is why in another thread I asked you if you are getting paid to push it. I don't see the need to always bring Opera up for no other reason than you like it. Sorry I'm not trying to start anything. I'm (we) are just tiered of seeing Opera as the answer for all browser problems. I'm happy you like it, but stop ramming it down everyone's throat.
