I've added positive reps to some members and their number doesn't increase, why? Is there a delay?

You don't have enough reputation points to make a big enough change to see their numbers increase(unless they are right at the edge of going from 100-101 i.e).

If you look on their actual rep page, you'll see the number of points right at the bottom increase.

Rep power is how many points a certain user will add/subtract, so you for example right now would have added 3 rep points. I'm not sure how Ave has it set up, but you can gain rep power based on posts, join date, and obviously rep itself.

Thanks, I lost 10 rep points because I posted some links in the "other" section people thought were woo woo and were angry because I wouldn't debate them for more abuse on the subject, so now I'm a zero. Does that mean my reps don't count for others, when I give them?

I don't believe so, you can only give rep points if you are in the green.

Well, I'm back in the green now, someone was kind. I have given out many more plus reps than received, it takes time to do that, but I don't mind, if someone has provided some useful information or has helped me understand something, I rep them a plus.
