Seems mine's gotten slightly slower since my last test.

HughesNet is just like being on dial up again. Slow as sh1t with a limited data allowance. Unfortunately it is my only option out here... no land line and terrible cell coverage. Oh well... it's the price I pay to live in my dream home.:p

I thought I was smokin' until I saw the 100-400 Mbps speeds of some one here.

I'm 30 down and 5 up. still better than most.

10 down just wasn't cutting it, I'm too interconnected on everything and stream most video direct.

Office:

we pay $300 a month (and then some) for 7/7 symmetric (with bursts up to 15)

point 2 point microwave.

Home:

comcast. much cheaper and we haven't had problems with reliability. We wanted comcast business service 100/15 at the office but they wanted around....100k to install... NOPE.

Dont forget that speedtest.net tests LINE SPEED. you will be lucky to get 2/8 of those speeds on a real server downloading stuff.
