But the thing is... you guys are in Australia; the land where just about everything is deadly. I'm pretty sure if someone wanted to kill you they could just look around for a few min, grab a funnel web spider with a small jar, and then chuck it at you, and have the same end result as carrying a gun. There are probably hundreds of alternatives to the SFWS that they could substitute in as well. Hell, they could envenomate a pointed stick and it would be more deadly than a Bowie knife.

Lol, Sig :) Poison Sticks! I voted for, It is very much a part of American culture and history. I don't think that's gonna change any time soon.

Think about this in Aus...
A bad guy wanting to bad does not give the slightest F--- if he needs a gun to do his dirty deeds he wont have a problem getting one. And do you think a criminal with his intentions will care if he is breaking the law?

Anywho I like to cray the Texas legal limit of knifes sometimes (5 1/2' folding knife)
(not my pic)

That's the thing, it doesn't make it harder for criminals to get them, but there are _LOT_ less "innocent" shootings, from accidents, kids finding guns etc.

Quite true. I remember recently a kid shot and killed his friend by accident because a gun wasn't locked up.

Fair enough, but it's one of those topics where it's going to cause discussion no matter the intentions, such as politics and religion. Besides, I'm going for my crocodile throwing classes in a few weeks :D

lol, 500 rep.

Lol, Things was been cheeky in reference to my earlier "assault by deadly native species" remark. Though I would not put it past our friends down under to determine the best way to throw a croc.

I don't know how I remembered this, but at least I have seen a crocodile being throw in a cartoon (by a grizzly bear).

Don't forget sharks
