If?!? Who says I don't have one? Using a nuclear weapon does not give one power. What gives one power is the threat of using a nuclear weapon. I can only use it in one place BUT I can threaten all of them. Now that's power. ;D

I agree to a point with that one. On the other hand if people didnt know of the true horror of using one on people, the threat would not have the same impact. Watching a film such as 'Trinity above and beyond' certainly did not have the impact in my mind that the sight of children wondering aimlessly, blackened and chared did. Never the less, I think it disturbes me more that such power is not in the hands of the people, but of those who control them. In the case of "super powers" like the US, the larger the flock of sheep the more dangerous it all becomes.

Either way, I am proud to be Canadian. We get pushed around from time to time, but at the end of the day we have our peace of mind. I am glad to live in a country who hasnt spent more money on weapons than their own people. We do not belong to the A-Bomb club, but the suject still facinates me ;)

haha, snowbound's cool, consturct is great imo, you just have to know what not to do:
snowbound: don't try to shoot/beat down guy holding shot gun hiding on other side of shield, find another opponent.
construct: don't take the main lift, walk around backwards so you can blast the guy lurking with a sword.

Back on topic,

nuke? damn! I agree with Frothy. You threaten everybody, then you nuke the ocean. ;D

Well as a member of NATO, Canada has no real need to spend resources in nuclear weapons development. Should Canada be attacked, there are 25 other nations bound by treaty to defend Canada. Plus the relationship with the U.S. in areas such as NORAD really brings Canada within the defense sphere of U.S. nuclear response should Canada be attacked.

Maybe my inner geek is showing but I think it would be cool to have a sphere of plutonium sitting on my mantle. Someone may ask, "Wow is that a steel ball bearing? It's freakin' heavy!" To which I would reply, "No, actually that's the plutonium core from the primary of a thermonuclear weapon."

In my best John Travolta voice: "Please do not drop the core of the thermonuclear weapon!"

PU-239 weapons material is an alpha emitter so there is no radiation danger as your skin will stop alpha particles. The danger comes in two forms, however, both from internal exposure. Internal organs can be irradiated if you ingest plutonium or it gets absorbed through the skin. The other danger is heavy metal poisoning with symptoms as any other heavy metal poisoning.

LOL, unless cars can be fueled with Maple syrop or bacon, I dont think there will be concern for us getting attacked ;) Pardon my trust issues ::)

It is nice being covered by the wing of the dragon, there is a lot less to worry about I suppose.

"Don't lick that ball of plutonium sitting on the table."

I'd probably detonate in my backyard if I had a nuke sitting around.
