Jetlasers:D

If I really had to pick though from whats on the list only, Id go with lazerer.. I don't really like any of the companies you listed IMO... so really, I will be dealing with Jetlasers again.

Laser Show Parts is by far my favorite company. Dave really went out of his way to help me get my scanners running.

I've got to be honest here - I don't buy 95% of what I see about "lazerer.com". Before I placed my vote for CNI, this poll looked like:

O-like 0 0%
Lazerer 4 100.00%
CNI 0 0%
S-L 0 0%
DX 0 0%
DD 0 0%
DL 0 0%

Lazerer.com was registered in Jun of 2011. They've been doing business for what, 3 months? And yet they are 4 people's favorite site before even 1 vote gets registered for another laser seller?

Sure, great things DO come along, but I'm skeptical. Lazerer is selling the same lasers we've seen elsewhere, and for prices that are marginally higher (though pretty close to) the prices we've seen elsewhere. In other words, they're pretty darn typical, and they're pretty darn new.

Almost every time I've read something about them on this forum, I've felt the tingle of my "bs" detector ever so slightly telling me that something wasn't quite right. As if the positive comment I was reading had been "encouraged" by some sort of reward or incentive. Their positive press seems to me, to be artificial. No doubt some members here have been happy with their purchases, I'm not suggesting otherwise. But the way Lazerer popped up all of a sudden, and is coming up in almost every thread about laser retailers, feels inorganic.

The fact that they are new, proves that they will be up to spec or over spec because they want people to think of them as a great company. Now if they stay that way, who know's, but take advantage of them now, and then later, we will find out if they stay a good company.

I just ordered the 100mw CYBER, and I will post a real review, as nobody bribed me for any amount of money. Expect that in about 2 week's, depending on their shipping time.

No it doesn't. That's silly.

The fact that they are new, proves nothing of the sort.

Lots of new companies sell under spec lasers.

From what i know, they have sold over-spec laser's. For example..

http://laserpointerforums.com/f52/review-100mw-grenade-532-lazerer-65755.html

http://laserpointerforums.com/f52/200mw-650nm-w-p-laser-lazerer-66444.html

Actually, I don't think i have heard a bad review about them yet. Except for the RIFLE445nm 800mw, i heard they are 50mw under-spec, which isn't bad for the price.

I would be curious to know whether either of those two reviewers PAID for their lasers, or whether they got them free or at a discount for the purpose of reviewing. In at least one case, I think the laser might have been a "freebie".

I don't think they would give it away.. Maybe a discount, but a lot of websites do discounts if you do a review. Don't hate on the new kid, give them a chance, I will tell you how my order went, and I am not getting paid or getting any discount whatsoever.

Well, I can't speak for others, but I did get a discount on the lasers I reviewed. I would be very surprised if other people didn't get the same kind of discount.

AFAIK none were given out for free. Most companies do offer a discount for reviews though, and I was upfront that my reviews would include both the good and the bad... for example this laser below is a 7.5/10 imho.

http://laserpointerforums.com/f52/650-660nm-200mw-transformable-lazerer-com-66123.html

I think the reason why the name is constantly popping up is simply because it's the first chinese company of cheap lasers that finally started doing what people on here have wanted them to do.

Specifically to LPM the laser before it goes out.

I haven't dealt with rayfoss (although that's gonna change with these new 635nm diodes:D) but I have dealt with o-like and the experience left me less than impressed.

Considering that most people new to this hobby, aren't really ready to shop with laserglow, cni or even jetlasers prices... cheaper companies do come up. For the moment imho lazerer is the best option for cheaper lasers. That may change down the road.

Btw, while I have officially reviewed two lasers from them (arctic mini - mini review and the one I linked to) I have gotten 6 lasers from them in total. So far that red is actually the worst.

Hey, where's Laserglow on that list? I think we have a lot of friends here!

Agreed, laserglow should be on the list.

Part of the problem with a list like this, is that it's likely to get misinterpreted as being a "best laser company" instead of "favorite laser company" poll.

In which case, it's kind of like asking a cross section of the public "what's your favorite hotel?" And letting them choose between a Holiday Inn, Howard Johnson, and a Ritz Carlton. Very few people will have stayed at a Ritz, but it is certainly a "higher quality" hotel chain than the other two. Regardless, it would get fewer votes.

The same here could be said of LaserGlow and CNI. They clearly sell higher quality lasers than DD, Lazerer, etc - no doubt whatsoever. In fact, I believe LaserGlow just resells CNI right? At any rate, it's silly to have them on the same poll, when very few people have ordered from them, relative to cheap chinese resellers. So, maybe LaserGlow is actually better off not being on that list. I'd chuck CNI off too, and just rename this a "Favorite cheap laser company poll" ;) In fact Survival Laser doesn't really fit either. DragonLasers has become crappy and cheap, so they should stay up there.
