Exactly, but when I say it, people like jaseth & flaminpyro flame me. That's why I've been trying harder and harder to keep my mouth shut with issues like these as of lately.

Feelings aside, we also have to remember, cussing at another member IS a reason to ban at LPF.

People tend to forget that there is no such thing as "protected speech" in a forum.

Banning members (temporarily or permanently) is not fun, but it is one of the few tools available to keep the peace.

Daquin is spot on I dont believe that cussing is really the best way to solve a problem especially if its directed towards another member.

Mfo, in cases such as these where a member's banning is being discussed because of dangerous misinformation and blatant lies (possibly paid by a company), I have absolutely no problem with you requesting the person banned.
I do however feel there have been certain times where you have let personal feelings and beliefs not actually tied to the welfare or rules of the forum itself push you into first contributing to a flame war and then rallying to have the opposing member banned.

As of right now, I have no problem with you and have not seen any sign of you doing such things for a long time.
We all make mistakes when we are stressed, myself very much included.

I've noticed that the younger and more immature the Member...
the more likely they will use profane language when confronted
because they have not yet mastered their language skills... IMO

They just blurt out any swear word that sits in that empty mind...
I suppose a 1-2 Week time out would allow them to acquire a better
vocabulary...:eg:

I agree wholeheartedly that's why I have kept my personal feelings to myself on this, until just now when given the opportunity to express them.

@ MFO I feel EX the same as Jaseth, it was the personal attack you and the mind tripper took over animal rights and not for the better of the forum (I like cats, they taste like chicken :crackup everything has it's place and I for one would like to see to personal stuff stay at home, not here. we have enough drama here with out adding to it, sometimes it looks more like a soap opera forum than any thing else :can: I can see now why frothy left us, some times I feel the same way but that will never happen because I'm going to stay right here and do what ever it takes to make this a better place for all !

Talking and discussion on the computer first of all is very different than the same in person and getting to know the person. I acted out one day -was a jerk, because my son is sick,not the kind of sick like the flu-serious sick .That day a doctor gave me an obscure prognosis a script and was rude,I took it out on-- really as i understand now a general topic site some folks just talking about IQ tests. I have worked with a lot of doctors over the years, i more than anyone should know how they spend as short amount of time and make sure they get their money. It was a clustermess which earned me the negative red reputation boxes under my name and at the time dont blame them.See where I am going with this-a bad day and humans will be human, but misinformation and swearing has no place on LPF, it could harm someone. I just want to have some fun discussing lasers and have some nice folks to talk to ,and I have found that here.

The best thing I have read this evening.

When I look for bad posts, liars and such, I am not trolling for drama, Honestly... It just bothers me when someone leads impressionable newbies down the misinformation highway.

lol RA_pierce. i agree... it's just funny how much bs came out of him in the last forum. i'd also agree that he could pose a safety hazard. i'd like to think that people wouldn't just read one post and be like "OH OK this is factual". so i'm kinda half half on that part.

i too bought from laserpointerpen, i kinda wanted to do a review, but can anyone help me on how to even make a post? i thought since rep +/- needed 50 posts maybe posting a topic did too, but i see new members posting all the time XD sorry to side track off this thread. can't really post a topic asking "how do you post a topic" XD LMFAO.

as far as the banning goes, i'm not an experienced enough member to post such an opinion nor do i "contribute" enough to say so. honestly if u did ban him, i wouldn't think badly of it. granted he's just a kid, but that dont mean he has to keep bsing. it's just funny how he keeps getting caught on his bs. that photo date one is classic. hahaha. i mean even i know about the properties thing XD. i know something, but i won't say yet... i want to see his response XD.
